Bernardo di Gregorio is a Corleone native resident, the son of Don Sigismondo di Gregorio and Maria Cammarata, who married in 1757. He is named after his paternal grandfather, as is traditional for the first born son. I estimate he is born within a couple years of his parents' marriage.
Notably, Bernardo's father is styled don in his own marriage and in Bernardo's, but neither Don Sigsmondo's father nor his son receives the same title in these records.
Bernardo marries Francesca Ponti, daughter of Vincenzo Ponti and Rosa Salerno, on 21 September 1800. His father has died by this time.[1]
Maestro Bernardo and Francesca have at least two children, Antonino (c. 1801) and Concetta (c. 1802).
Maestro Antonino marries Marianna di Puma on 21 November 1819.[2] By my estimate, Antonino is no more than nineteen years old when he marries. He is already a maestro.
Concetta marries Maestro Mariano Governali on 14 February 1820.[3]
